The ally of Schlapp's, Tony Sayegh, and an opponent with the same name, Tony, have been fighting during the media coverage. Schlapp claimed that, following the time she learned that the Washington Examiner had published an piece that contained negative remarks about Sayegh's character, she called Sayegh in a private chat.
